See Monaco by Helicopter
Monaco is a great day trip – whether you’re in nearby Nice, over the border in Italy, or even on a shore excursion from a Mediterranean cruise. But although there is plenty to see and do, it can be a little strange to navigate this tiny country. Set into cliffs that head straight down to the port, there aren’t any sweeping views except of the sea in front of you, and you always kind up on the various sightseeing spots, instead of seeing them from afar.
This can all change, however, in under ten minutes – when you see Monaco by helicopter.
From a bird’s eye view, it’s easier to see the hairpin turns of the Monaco Grand Prix course. The Prince’s Palace on the Rock of Monaco seems all the more majestic when it is clear how removed it is from the cliffs of the city. The Alpine foothills behind the many condos and hotels rise up to meet you.
And because it’s such a tiny portion of land, on a clear day you can see France and Italy from the air as well! When else can you see three countries at once? Not only that, but who knows who you’ll see at the heliport, a popular spot for jet-setting celebrities to arrive.
It’s an unforgettable experience – that won’t take up your whole day. It’s quite a way to become oriented with Monaco!
